How to apply
- Check your local school. Use School Finder to check whether your address is in our local intake area.
- Prepare your information. Have parent and emergency contact details and your child’s medical details ready. Check the document checklist below.
- Submit your application. If your child is eligible, complete the local online application. See the enrolment options below for other circumstances.
- Wait for confirmation. The school will confirm the outcome of your application. You may need to visit with supporting documents.
Documents to prepare
Prepare these documents for enrolment. Bring the originals when you visit the school to enrol:
- your child’s birth certificate or identity documents
- proof of your child’s residential address
- an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement
Where applicable, also have residency documents, court orders and health or learning support plans available.

Local enrolments
The local online form is for children who live in NSW and in our local intake area. Your child must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident.
Outside our intake area
Contact our office about non-local enrolment. Places depend on availability and department policy. Read the department’s enrolment guidance for more information.
Temporary residents and international students
